Raise your hand if you think you leave your hair too long between washes 🙋♀️
Guess what? You're definitely doing it right. We've grown up thinking regular hair washing is best for your hair but you could be doing more harm than good.
💧 1-3 times a week is the most you need to wash it
💧 Hair type makes a big difference - afro hair can go a lot longer without being washed
💧 Sulphates and silicones (found in most shampoo & conditioners) dry your hair and prevent moisture from permeating the hair shaft, meaning you feel like you need to wash it more
So, how can you go longer between washes?
✨ Rinse your hair with water or conditioner in-between washes if you feel it getting greasy
✨ Go easy on the dry shampoo (we know, it's a hard ask), but product build up will make your hair feel worse. Don't put too much in at once and spray from at least 30cm away
✨ Train your hair - go an extra day between washes and your hair will begin to get used to it and will slow down on producing oils
Plus using less product is better for the environment and your pocket 🌍💸
